With lingual braces
you can straighten your teeth with braces that are not visible. The reason for this is because they are placed on the inner surface of your teeth,
inside the mouth where they cannot be seen (unlike conventional braces that are placed on the outer surface of your teeth). This advanced method makes lingual orthodontics well-suited for adult patients, who often want to improve their smile without letting anyone else know about their treatment. Braces are made up of two main components: the brackets attached directly to the teeth, and the arch wire which connects them. With standard braces, the brackets are attached to the front of the teeth, which are often uniform in their shape. However, lingual brackets are attached to the back side of the teeth.
